Fuel.....

Updated: Jul 19, 2019

Fuel is something we need for energy. It keeps us moving, energetic and active. What we put in our bodies (food, water, vitamins, etc..) is our fuel.

A few days ago I was reading an Instagram post from one of my favorite #MillionDollarListing #NewYork realtors, #RyanSerhant. Ryan has always intrigued me because he is one of these people that has an interesting life story. His mindset of, failure is not an option, has always driven him to make positive things happen in his life. He recently posted an excerpt of an email from a "hater" that told him this....."stop talking about your career because no one cares about you"

and then proceeded to finish with,

"you'll be left with a failed acting career and a miserable marriage"

Ryan proceeded with his post, sharing with his audience that he gets e-mails like this by the hour, every day. He also shared that he keeps EVERY SINGLE ONE of those emails! They go into a special folder titled “FUEL.”

That “FUEL Folder” is his reminder to keep on going the extra mile, to help others, to push forward with his goals and dreams.

This is what I refer to as “Mental Fuel” - it feeds our mind. How we choose to interpret what our minds are fed, is up to us.

We all have experienced those moments where someone’s words or perceptions, “fuel“ you to prove them wrong or push you to fight harder for that goal or achievement. For some, this mentality comes easy. For others, they have to work at it and it is a process. One benefit of Reiki is to remove the blocks that hold you back from believing in how far you can really go. It can help you achieve mental clarity, energy, and empowerment. Change doesn’t happen over night- it’s a process. To clarify one thing- Reiki DOES NOT change you.

YOU change you!

Reiki helps to remove emotional blocks, helps us to be more connected spiritually, relaxes our mind. It also opens our mind to clarity, often allowing us to see a different perspective.

I have personally experienced this shift and honestly, I feel a difference when a day goes by that I have not done Reiki on myself. I have much more energy throughout the day, more motivation, I am more disciplined, and feel more balanced and connected.

We all need to keep a “FUEL folder” to refer back to every so often. When people try to knock you down, you have two choices. You can either focus on THEIR negativity - which is usually a reflection of their own insecurities and how they feel about themselves.

Or, you can put It in your FUEL Folder and be greatful that someone just gave you ONE MORE reason to succeed and want to keep on going! It’s all perspective and ultimately, YOU CHOOSE how to look at the ups and downs of life.

I will end this with Ryan Serhants words......

”Remember - the world can be very peanut butter and jealous. So soak

it up and use it as FUEL for the fire needed to change the world, in whatever way you‘re trying.”
